Coral Gables – September, 2008 – In an effort to raise the excellence of cinema within the community, the city of Coral Gables anounces the construction of the Coral Gables Cinemateque which will be located in Aragon Avenue across the street from Books and Books. After an ordenance was passed earlier this month, approving the creation and building of this theater, it was not a surprise that Steve Krams, a dedicated and passionate film professional inour community took the helm of the project.


Miami - April 2008 -The Miami facility recently upgraded its telecine suite to feature a DaVinci 2K color corrector. HD transfer capability for the Miami site will coming online soon.

Orlando - April 2008: New HD telecine suite now open at Continental’s Orlando facility. This new suite features a Thomson/Grass Valley Shadow telecine for both standard def and hi-def video transfers up to 4:4:4 1080/24p. A Facilis Terrablock SAN storage system and Drastic Technology’s QuickClip Pro software system was also recently added to facilitate tapeless workflows with frame-accurate uncompressed SD and HD film transfers direct to hard drive.
